Crevice Beneath the Moon

The crevice beneath the moon,
small and pompous,
a warmth radiates —
curvature, subtle,
a line dividing hemispheres,
the arc that carves the cheek,
folding softly into the hamstring.

A cheek revealed —
a beautiful blend of muscle,
of fat and tender skin,
a pillow one dreams to rest upon.

Microscopic baby hairs glisten,
catching light at just the right angle.
Shadows stretch from the hill,
cast by the rise of form —
muscle and fat in perfect union.

Beautiful, perfect,
its fullness calls to be held,
to be gathered whole in one’s hands,
to hoard its softness,
to cherish its tender grace.

The delicate wonder
of sacred symmetry,
soft and tender.
